Privacy Policy

Belmobile.be SRL (Rue Gallait 4, 1030 Brussels; VAT BE0502737241; +32 2 275 98 67; contact@belmobile.be) is the controller of your personal data.

1. Data we process

  • Identity and contact: name, email, phone, address.
  • Order: device (brand, model, IMEI, condition), amount, status, history.
  • Buyback: a copy of an identity document and IBAN, for payment and for the legal second-hand goods register (fight against handling stolen goods).
  • Business customers: company name and VAT number.
  • Browsing: see our cookie policy.

2. Purposes and legal bases

  • Performance of the contract: handling a repair, buyback, sale or delivery (Article 6.1.b GDPR).
  • Legal obligation: invoicing, accounting, identity check for buyback (Article 6.1.c GDPR).
  • Legitimate interest: site security, fraud prevention, reminder of an abandoned quote (Article 6.1.f GDPR).
  • Consent: statistics and marketing, chosen WhatsApp or SMS notifications (Article 6.1.a GDPR).

3. Who processes your data for us

  • Hosting and database: Google Firebase (EU, europe-west1).
  • Online payment: Stripe (Belmobile stores no card data).
  • Emails: Brevo.
  • Delivery: Sendcloud and bpost.
  • Chat assistant, translations, photo diagnosis: Google (Gemini API).
  • WhatsApp notifications: Meta Platforms.
  • Statistics: Google Analytics, only if you accept it.

Each acts as a processor, on our instructions and under a contract compliant with Article 28 GDPR.

4. Transfers outside the European Union

Our data is hosted in the EU. Some processors (Google, Stripe, Meta) may process data outside the EU, governed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

5. Retention periods

  • Invoicing documents: 7 years (Belgian accounting obligation).
  • Quotes and orders: for the duration of the relationship, then archived for the legal period.
  • Buyback IBAN: deleted 90 days after the order. Buyback identity copy: kept for 5 years (legal second-hand goods register), then deleted.
  • Chat history: 60 days.
  • Marketing data: until you withdraw your consent.

6. Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability. Withdrawal of consent at any time. Write to contact@belmobile.be; proof of identity may be requested. Reply within 30 days.

7. Complaint

You may contact the Data Protection Authority (Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels; dataprotectionauthority.be).

8. Security

Encrypted connection (HTTPS), restricted access to data, encryption at rest at our hosts. No system is 100% secure.
